Dinner in the Meadow is an annual event held each fall in beautiful Louisburg, NC that combines the beauty of nature with fine dining. This year, the magical date is September 15, 2024. The event cultivates a unique experience where guests are treated to a magical evening under the stars, surrounded by the serene countryside and entertained by live music while savoring a delectable meal prepared by renowned chefs. It is also a time to highlight and announce the 2024 winner of the Leonard-Mobley Small Farm Grant Winner!

Setting the Scene in the Meadow

The dinner is held in an idyllic meadow, at bucolic Meadow Lane Farm, which is transformed into an exquisite dining area adorned with farm-chic decorations. As soon as you arrive, you will be greeted with delightful appetizers, freshly made cocktails and warm smiles. The surroundings are breathtaking, with lush green meadows and stunning flowers setting a picture-perfect scene. As you mingle, you will be entertained by local musicians and/or DJs playing familiar melodies, old and new, which create a serene ambiance that further enhance the festive atmosphere. There will also be a silent auction to peruse, so plan on getting some holiday shopping out of the way early this year!

What makes the entire night even more special was that all proceeds from the event are donated to support the Leonard-Mobley Small Farm Fund, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and cultivating small farms in North Carolina. The winner of this year’s $5,000 grant will be announced at the Dinner and you will have the opportunity to meet the farmers and hear about their endeavors! It promises to be a  heartwarming event, watching these passionate farmers coming together to discuss their farms and the big plans they have for their grant! It is truly a worthy cause set in front of a background of agricultural and gastronomic delights!
