Chef Jamie Davis hails from Jacksonville, North Carolina. As the son of a Marine, he spent much of his childhood moving from place to place before eventually returning to his home state.
His culinary journey began at just 16 years old, washing dishes in his first restaurant. Through hard work and determination, he rose through the ranks to become a restaurant manager by the age of 18.
After joining the U.S. Army and serving in Iraq, Jamie attended culinary school in Savannah, Georgia. Today, he is the Executive Chef of The Hackney, where his passion for seafood and strong relationships with local fishers have earned him a stellar reputation and recognition as a James Beard Best Chef Southeast Finalist.
