Ryan Grimm is the Executive Chef of Blue Jay Bistro and a culinary professional with more than 20 years of experience spanning fine dining, hospitality leadership, and restaurant development across the United States and Europe. A graduate of the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco, Ryan refined his craft at culinary icons such as Magnolia’s and S.N.O.B. in Charleston and Broussard’s and Commander’s Palace in New Orleans, extensive travel and cooking throughout Europe, and leadership roles in Los Angeles and Seattle before arriving in North Carolina. His cuisine blends refined technique with approachable hospitality, drawing inspiration from Southern ingredients, French foundations, and modern American dining.
Known for his creativity, mentorship, and guest-focused philosophy, Chef Ryan has built a reputation for crafting memorable dining experiences that balance innovation with warmth and familiarity.
