Chef Tie’s story begins in the kitchen with her grandmother, Angel, baking pies, breads, and cobblers that would spark a lifelong passion and a shared dream. After her grandmother’s passing, Tie made a life-changing decision: to honor her legacy through pastry. What started as love and loss became purpose, and ultimately, Buttermilk Boutique was born.
Blending Southern flavors with refined technique, Chef Tie creates luxurious, nostalgic desserts that celebrate heritage, community, and her roots. From earning her Master’s in Gastronomy at Boston University to competing on Guy’s Grocery Games, her journey is as inspiring as it is impressive.
But beyond the accolades, Chef Tie’s work is about connection, bringing people together through food, memory, and tradition.
